Otsu City is the prefectural capital of Shiga Prefecture, about 10 minutes from Kyoto by train.
Budokan is a facility for various Japanese martial arts located on the shore of Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan,
and it has a conference room that is just the right size for the conference.
Access from train stations
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Tokaido Line to Otsu Station or Zeze Station in the direction of Maibara.
Otsu is the second stop from Kyoto and Zeze is the third stop.
Note that some trains do not stop at Zeze.
From Otsu station (Japan Railway): 15 minutes by Taxi
From Zeze station (Japan Railway): 15 minutes walk
From Keihan-Zeze station (Keihan Railway): 15 minutes walk
Access from International Airports
From any airport, you will first go to Kyoto Station.
From Kansai International Airport, it is approximately 1.5 hours by JR Limited Express Haruka.
From Chubu International Airport, take Meitetsu to Nagoya Station and transfer to Tokaido Shinkansen for approximately 1.5 hours.
From Haneda Airport, take the Keikyu Line to Shinagawa Station and transfer to the Shinkansen for approximately 2.5 hours.
From Narita Airport, take the JR Narita Express to Tokyo or Shinagawa Stations and transfer to the Shinkansen for approximately 3.5 hours.
